Welcoming Angela Slade, BA CYC

Inspired Health is also pleased to announce that Angela Slade, BA CYC of Esteem Child and Youth Services will be joining our clinic February 1st, 2009.

Angela combines her counselling experience with her passion for coaching to help families navigate the adolescent years. Her mission is to change the way families relate to one another by encouraging them to grow toward greater family connection and mutual respect, and to help teens attain a true sense of purpose and self-worth, through regular phone, e-mail, and in-person coaching sessions, interactive web-based strategies, and educational workshops. Angela specializes in body-image and self-esteem issues related to teen girls. She teaches them to ‘Be Who They Are’ not who other people want them to be through her CHICs program. Breast Thermography returning to Inspired Health!

Inspired Health is pleased to announce that we are hosting another Breast Thermography outreach clinic on February 13th, 2009.

Thermography is a new approach to breast screening that uses digital infrared imaging, and without either radiation or squeezing.  It can often provide the earliest evidence of breast disease--before mammograms can detect structural changes such as lumps or cysts. It also has a 90% sensitivity rate, which means it can accurately indicate a presence or absense of disease 90% of the time.

While thermography does not replace regular mammograms, it permits monitoring of breast health and an important way for women to be pro-active about maintaining good health and vitality.

Certified thermologists from ThermaScan Imaging Center in Michigan (www.thermascan.com) will analyze and write a report using established international standards from the Pasteur Centre in Paris.  This report can then be discussed with your health professional, who can design a treatment program and repeat monitoring, if necessary.

For more information on thermography, the website for MTI is www.medthermonline.com.

The entire proceedure takes about 30 minutes and reports are available in 6-8 weeks.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, please, call our office at (250) 714-0721 or (877) 714-0721
